Covid-19 has been around for over 5 years and might be here to stay for an even longer period of time. With new variants arising almost every few months, people are encouraged to find new ways to protect themselves against this deadly virus. Inventor Jeffrey J. Seaman of San Antonio, TX was always mindful of his surroundings and avoiding the spread of Covid-19. One day, whilst standing in a corner store during the Covid-19 pandemic, he noticed the behavior of many of the shoppers while they shopped for groceries and other food items.
The Challenge of Dealing with Germs on Cans
He observed the way people touched the different drinking cans, which caused him to start wondering about the spread of germs from hand to can. He thought about the entire process from the production of the can, to transportation, to packing at stores and finally through the hands of many customers in store. By the time a can reaches the mouth of a consumer, it could possibly contain germs from hundreds of different hands. Jeffrey knew that there were no good ways to properly clean a can on the go. Most people are forced to choose unsavoury options like their shirt, a rag, water, tissue, or whatever else is laying around. These objects contain a multitude of germs themselves, since they’re a last minute option many people choose.
Jeffrey knew about the importance of cleaning a can properly before drinking from the top. He thought that if people knew how to clean the top of their cans properly, it could prevent the spread of diseases and illnesses (including Covid-19). He decided to come up with an idea which he can turn into a reality. He began developing the invention by experimenting with clay, drawings on paper, and creating CAD models. He created a highly effective sanitising device called the Canatizer. The invention has been further developed and is ready for the market.
The Canatizer – How Does it Work?
The Canatizer is an innovative invention that will help consumers to safely touch and open and beverage can before consumption of the drink. The device works as a sanatizer which cleans the top of a can thoroughly. It features a brush and alcohol base sanitizer which will help to clean germs, and especially those which are not visible to the naked eye. The other side of the Canatizer includes a dipper clip which will help to get rid of any excess germs and cleaner that’s on the can. The invention is also convenient to store as it is collapsible and fits in places even as small as a purse or pocket.
